Tools Required
- Ratchet and 10mm Socket
- T30 Torx
- T20 Torx
- 8mm Nut Driver
- 3mm Allen Wrench
- 2.5mm Allen Wrench
Installation Steps
- Turn off the engine and allow the engine bay to cool down. Then remove the oil fill cap.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal using a 10mm socket.
- Remove the plastic engine cover with a T30 Torx and loosen hose clamps with an 8mm nut driver.
- Disconnect the PCV fitting, hose, and sound enhancer tube, then remove the inlet duct.
- Remove the air induction housing clip and disconnect the MAF sensor.
- Remove the stock air induction housing assembly and retain the 3 OEM grommets.
- Remove the MAF sensor from the stock housing with a T20 Torx and install it on the CAI MAF tube with a 2.5mm Allen wrench.
- Install the performance air induction housing and air filter element.
- Install the CAI MAF tube using an 8mm nut driver. The dot must be facing the filter.
- Reconnect the inlet duct to the performance air induction housing.
- Reconnect the PCV hose, sound enhancer tube, and MAF sensor.
- Install the housing cover over the air box with a 3mm Allen wrench.
- Reinstall the engine cover, engine oil fill cap, and battery cable.
The entire process can take as little as 20 minutes, and you should already have most of these tools in your garage.
